Our Connection to the Global Goals
At FoodWise, we believe that even the smallest actions in our kitchens can ripple out to create global change.
Every meal, every mindful choice, is connected to the world we share.
Our work aligns with three key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from the United Nations.
These goals show how everyday living and conscious eating can come together to make a difference.
SDG 2: Zero Hunger
When we waste less, more food stays in circulation.
Lessons from Japan, the United Kingdom and New Zealand show that small daily habits can make a big difference in ensuring everyone has enough.
SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
Understanding why food is wasted is the first step toward change.
Behavioural approaches such as the Theory of Planned Behaviour, the Norm Activation Model and Social Practice Theory help shape our practical tips and mindful routines.
SDG 13: Climate Action
Less waste means fewer emissions and a lighter footprint on the Earth.
Each time we plan, store and share food wisely, we help protect the climate and the communities we love.
Together, these goals remind us that what happens in our kitchens is never small.
It echoes across the planet.
Based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (2015) and behavioural frameworks developed by Ajzen (1991), Schwartz (1977), and Shove et al. (2012).
